The Dance Pavilion
Uppsala Dance Pavilion (Danspaviljongen) is located only 15 minutes walk from Uppsala Central Station, in the city park (Stadsträdgården), next to Studenternas Arena.
What West Coast Swing can look like
West Coast Swing is a modern partner dance that is becoming increasingly popular and often seen on TikTok and other social media. It can be danced to many kinds of music, currently often to modern pop music, and is constantly evolving. The dance has a smooth character and leaves a lot of room for improvisation for both partners. It adapts to the style and tempo of the music and can look very different depending on the piece of music played.
Who are we?
The idea behind West Coast Swing Uppsala is to maintain and expand the WCS community in Uppsala. We collaborate with and complement other actors. The idea is to act as a hub for WCS activities in Uppsala and in some cases organise our own activities.
The main organiser of WCS courses and social dances in Uppsala is Victor Evelina West Coast Swing (VEWCS).
As a complement, West Coast Swing Uppsala organises a number of social dances during the school semesters and outdoors at Danspaviljongen during summer.
